The title, drawn from Shakespeare, evokes seas made blood-red by a single act - an image of enormity adn irreversible consequence. In this work, the ocean is no longer pure expanse but a vessel o transformation, memory and burden. The painting contemplates the weight of human action upon the natural world, teh way a single wound can ripple outward to colour an entire sea. It is both a lament and a reckoning: the moment when water itself bears witness.
